Testimonials

HAPPY HOMEOWNERS

“ Over the past weekend my family members have been exclaiming how spectacular the cottage is — as have I, of course. There were tears of joy last evening. To say thank you is wholly inadequate. Your design, your selection of finishes, your insistence on using Steve to build the cottage — just several of the reasons for our deep appreciation.”

About a new cottage on Georgian Bay

“Seventeen years ago, we had bought a home on a beautiful 2-acre property. But now, it was time to update the house with a modern kitchen and a great room in an open concept style. We retained the services of Harry Lay Architect … we now have a house that takes full advantage of the surroundings and provides a lovely kitchen and great room: the acme of comfort and style in all seasons.”

There are many ways to start the planning, but it’s not always clear what is the first step. We can help you with any part of the following house building steps:

Building memorable cottages and homes across Ontario

City

We have built many homes and renovations across Ontario. As a full-service office, we guide the project through the design phase, permits, hiring a builder and getting the construction done.

Cottages and Country Homes

As a cottage architect, Harry has worked in many rural jurisdictions, including Caledon, Dufferin County, Grey County, Mono and Mulmur Townships, King City, Port Hope, the Kawarthas, Haliburton County, Hastings Highlands, the Muskokas and Georgian Bay. In each area, Harry consults with the township as well as local builders to determine the best cottage design and schedule.
