Cottage Architect
We have worked on many cottage renovations as well as new cottages. This work takes us to sites on lakes, islands, pastures, and to small Ontario towns.
The basic common denominator for all work has been to design with simplicity. We feel that the cottage is a place that is completely different from the city home. It is stripped down to its essentials, to emphasize the surrounding landscape. Some cottage spaces are unique: the screened porch, for example is an Ontario necessity and doubles as a living room.
An outdoor shower brings you close to nature.
The kitchen may perform multiple tasks as pantry, laundry and dining area.
Dining outside on a fine deck is in a class of its own.
